Hiatus
I am always amazed how after a long hiatus from running how much work running 1 mile really feels like.

It's true. I went for a short bike ride today. It felt panic-y and forever and my legs built up lactic acid so very very quickly.
I did some lifting tonight too. The 20 miles or so of hiking I did over the weekend, plus the 11 or so miles of walking should help mitigate any leg soreness issues. My arms, on the other hand, are likely to hurt like hell.
