Friday October 30th
Our own personal Friday the 13th.
Alex lost her job because the company she works for is closing its doors.
I found out I'm going to have to rewrite my dissertation from front to back because one out of the five people on the committee (the last person) doesn't like most of it.

Not closing its doors, just can't support a full development team _and_ continue to sell the product _and_ support existing clients without the big project work coming in the door.
Opportunity knocks in many ways, sometimes it knocks you up side the head. That which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. One door closes, another opens...yadda, yadda, but in the end, having to adapt and change is usually a strengthening exercise. Thinking of you both, knowing happier times are to come.
